Abstract
Pepper plant is one of the most widely cultivated plant commodities in Indonesia. Considering the time needed when testing the pepper skin peeling machine including testing the capacity, stripping efficiency and yield of pepper. Testing will be divided into 2 treatments. The first treatment is the pepper treatment with the shell and the second treatment is the pepper without the shell, each treatment will require 5 kg of pepper from 10 kg of pepper. Based on the results of testing the working capacity of the machine with shelled pepper treatment it has an average working capacity of 25 kg/hour and for pepper without shelled it has an average value of 24 kg/hour, the efficiency of peeling pepper is 88% and without shelled 83% , the yield of loose pepper has a yield value of 30% then the yield without shelled has a value of 29%, the first treatment (peel pepper) has a better value than the second treatment
